NOW® L-Phenylalanine 500 mg contains the amino acid L-phenylalanine. L-phenylalanine is an essential amino acid that can be rapidly converted into the amino acid L-tyrosine. Tyrosine, in turn, is necessary for protein synthesis and the production of dopamine and norepinephrine mediators.
